At Neon Marl we care about the footprint we create. We may be a small business, but we embrace sustainability as one of our core pillars.

We are on a mission to create ethically sourced and ultimately wearable garments that are designed and made to last and reduce waste. Creating premium quality essential wardrobe staples that look good, feel good and do good, we hope to close the loop on fashion by making the best possible product in the most sustainable way.

We are continually striving to improve and innovate our processes so that we can maintain our commitment towards environmental responsibility.

All our products are hand printed and packed to order on our Bedfordshire based premises by a loyal and committed team of local women, who, like Neon Marl founder Amber, are passionate about delivering a responsible, transparent and sustainable product supply chain.

Our Neon Marl employees are rewarded with the opportunity to work hours to fit around their own families and commitments and are paid well over the living wage.

WHAT WE ARE DOING

At Neon Marl, being sustainable doesn’t mean compromising on colour options to design configurations. All the fabrics for our quality super-soft sweatshirts and hoodies have been carefully sourced and selected to meet our exacting standards, never compromising on quality.

The suppliers we work with are members of Sedex - www.Sedex.com - and only use WRAP certified factories. WRAP is a non-profit organisation made up of global social compliance experts who are dedicated to promoting safe, lawful, humane and ethical manufacturing around the world. Having a responsible and transparent supply chain ensures that we can continue to promote and sustain safe working conditions and fair labour practices and not just meet environmental standards.

To gain WRAP certification a facility must comply with WRAP's 12 principles which include prohibition of Child & Forced labour, limits on the hours of work and monitoring of the work environment to ensure health & safety rules are adhered to - www.wrapcompliance.org.

Our bespoke and highly personalised print-on-demand business, enables us to limit the quantities of stock we need and hold on the premises at any given time and to only buy what we need and use.

Items that are less than perfect are used and sold in our Sample/Outlet sales.

Following our successful collaboration with fashion accessory brand, Clemency Loves Jude, we are really excited to announce the launch of our first sustainable partnership.

Our collaboration with Clemency Loves Jude helps us to reduce our textile waste on any returned or unsellable items by using this deadstock fabric to make hairbands and accessories for our customers.

We love the thought of being able to offer you a unique product using fabric which would otherwise have to be sent further afield to be recycled.

We pledge never to send any of our returns or unwanted items to landfill.

The cardboard boxes that our base products arrive in are reused to ship out wholesale orders or recycled at our local recycling centre. We also use biodegradable plastic printed mailing bags which feature the Neon Marl brand logo and icons. We only use 100% recycled pulp fibre branded tissue paper which customers can easily recycle at home, ensuring they too can do their part to help protect our precious planet.

Neon Marl base packaging, printed mailing bags and branded tissue paper are all recyclable. We encourage all our customers to do their part to collectively help protect our precious planet by adopting an environmental conscience. Please ensure that all Neon Marl packaging is disposed of correctly for onwards recycling and regeneration.

PRINTING

We print all of your orders on demand. This bespoke and highly personalised approach to our business means that we have minimal stock sitting around and can optimise our work processes while minimising our carbon footprint.

We also use biodegradable plastic printed mailing bags which feature the Neon Marl brand logo and icons.
